Honey Tree welcomes all children on a non-discriminatory basis regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or religious background. We are a non-profit, church-sponsored community outreach of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and licensed by the California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD).

Choosing the first school for your child is an important decision and we encourage scheduled, private tours of our program and facilities. You and your child are welcome to visit Honey Tree and to see first hand, our happy children and happy teachers!

Registration

The initial registration for a new school year takes place in the spring. Additional enrollment space may be available in select classes after the initial registration period or during a school year. Please call the Honey Tree office to check class availability.

The Enrollment Application, Admission Agreement and registration fee (non-refundable) are required to initiate registration. Before a child is admitted, the first tuition payment must be received as well as forms required by our California licensing agency (CCLD). These forms are included in an enrollment packet at the time of registration. They include Identification & Emergency Information (LIC 700), Physician’s Report (LIC 701), Immunization Record (CDPH 286), Child Health History Parent Report (LIC 702) and Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment (LIC 627).

Age Requirements

Children enrolling in the Parent/Two-Year-Old Class should be turning two before December. Our Preschool / Pre Kindergarten classes are licensed to accept children three years old - Kindergarten age. Children are to be three years old by early fall and toilet trained. Our Transitional Kindergarten accepts children who are 5 years old by December 1. Our Kindergarten class accepts children who are eligible for California public school, five years old by September 1.

Honey Tree offers a variety of half day classes that are age specific with developmentally appropriate learning and play experiences.

Parent / Twos (Mon or Fri)

(1 Day / Week)

This parent participation class introduces parent and child to their first Honey Tree school experience with teachers and new friends in a secure, nurturing, play based environment. This one-day-per-week class is offered Monday or Friday.
