October Themes

Our curriculum for this month will center on the season of fall, apples, pumpkins, and of course, the children’s favorite Halloween.

Chapel Time

The children will meet for the first time in the Church for Chapel Time. Pastor Erik will meet with the children on Wednesday the 12th at 11:30 and 12:30 and Thursday the 13th at 11:30 he will sing some songs and share a story. At the end of the Month he will come to the classrooms and visit with the children and sing some more fun songs with them.

Tuition is due on the first of every month. You will be charged a $10.00 late fee after the 5th.

Cold and Flu Season

Unfortunately it’s that time of year. Please remember to keep you child home if they are sick. We need to keep our school germ free and keep our teachers healthy.

School Pictures

Brenda Russett of Candid On Campus Photography will be taking class and individual color photos beginning the week of October 17th.  Look for the schedule outside your child’s classroom.

Parent Interviews

Throughout the weeks of October each class and each teacher has a Parent Interview Day.  This brief, initial conference time is your opportunity to share information about your child.  Check your classroom Parent Boards for date and times.

It's Pumpkin Time

Honey Tree will have its own Pumpkin Patch.  Thanks to all the teachers for making sure 150 pumpkins make it to our Holy Trinity grass!   Each preschooler and kindergartener will “pick” a pumpkin.

*Parent/2-3 year old classes visit Underwood Family Farms Pumpkin Patch the week of Oct 11th.

Halloween Parade

We will celebrate Halloween with a costume parade on Thursday Oct. 27th  for T/Th AM Classes and Monday Oct. 31 for the morning and afternoon pre-school and pre-K Classes, & Kindergarten. Children may wear their costumes to school. The parade will begin at 9:00 A.M. (AM Classes) or at 12:40 P.M.  (Afternoon Classes).  Parents are welcome to take pictures and enjoy the fun.  After the parade parents are encouraged to stay and help take off costumes.  Please have children wear regular school clothes under costumes or bring clothes for changing into.  For safety while walking and parading we ask that there be no Play weapons (guns, knives, swords) or masks.

Parent/2 Year old Class Halloween

Halloween parties and wear your costumes to school the week of Oct. 24th.

                                 Fundraising Events

The purpose of fundraisers is to supplement “Teacher/Classroom Wish Lists” and to update instructional toys, indoor or outdoor equipment.  Participating in fundraisers is optional and families are welcome to pick and choose those that are of interest.

*We will be selling Sees Candy for an early December delivery.

Look for the handouts in November.
