March Curriculum
Themes:
Our
themes will include spring time, St. Patrick’s Day, planting, and revisit colors while learning about
rainbows.
Remember your
Registration Paperwork:
All
paperwork is due March 1st. If you think your child has received an immunization since school
started please bring any updated records you have to the office and we can
photo copy it for our records.
Creativity Night:
Creativity Night is a special evening when parent
and preschooler come to school to enjoy the creative art process together. Be prepared to paint and play with your child!
It is a time to focus just on your preschooler and
in consideration of this as well as classroom size, space and art supplies we
prefer that siblings not attend. We realize that this may be an
inconvenience but experience tells us that this is best for a positive evening
together. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Please note that due to
Creativity Night there is a Teacher In-service day (NO SCHOOL) on Wednesday,
March 6th.
Dentist Coming to
Honey Tree:
On Tuesday, March 12th and Wednesday,
March 13th Oak Park Dentistry for Children will come and share
stories with the children and teach them the importance of brushing their
teeth.
Parent Conferences:
The
Parent/Teacher conferences will begin early March thru April. The teachers will be giving out progress
reports for the 4-5 year-old pre-kindergartners. This is an opportunity to go
over them with your child’s teacher and to ask any questions. Please check your classroom Parent Board for
the day and time. Progress
reports and optional conferences for preschool 3-4 year olds will be available
the middle of May. Kindergarten
conferences and progress reports will be in April. Watch for a sign-up sheet outsidethe
classroom.Spring Fundraiser: Original
Works is a company that takes your child’s art work and preserves it in a one
of a kind keepsake. You will be able to order key chains, bags, placemats, pot
holders… just to name a few; great for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day gifts or
just because it’s especially created by your child. Look for packets to go home soon with the art
work included and due dates.
